A Rollerball pen is the happy medium between a fountain pen and a ballpoint pen. The ink has substantially higher fluidity than the inks and gels used in ballpoint pens, using a rolling ball to apply the ink instead of a nib and ink feed. Unlike ballpoints, which use a thick paste like ink, rollerballs require no pressure when writting, this is down to the liquid ink used.
